It's not at all surprising that people, especially young people, are leaving the "Christian" church in droves.

The rampant misogyny, racism, and other forms of bigotry that are taught as "Christian doctrine" combined with the criminal hypocrisy of church "leaders". None of this has anything to do with the teachings of Jesus Christ.

That's why I left the church over 30+ years ago, and it sounds like nothing has changed. If anything, it's gotten worse.

@ProPublica Kleffman is a hero for not walking away from the investigation. Such cases are so shocking because so many people just walk away from doing what’s right. The purpose of the church is to help us do what’s right and they become these perverted structures to enable abusers. It’s disgusting.
